International Hill Climb Gorjanci 2014
International Hill-Climb race Gorjanci 2014 will be held from 20th to 22nd June 2014. This year's race will count for FIA Historic Hill Climb Championship, FIA International Hill Climb Cup, FIA International Hill Climb Challenge, FIA CEZ Cup, Croatian Hill Climb Championship and of course for Slovenian National Hill Climb Championship.
Hill Climb Gorjanci 2014 will be held on the traditional 4.3 km long route from Zgornja Težka voda to Veliki Cerovec. This year's program will consist of three official training rides on Saturday and three runs on Sunday that will decide the winner of Gorjanci 2014. Verification of documents and technical inspection of vehicles will be carried out on Friday afternoon at the restaurant Prepih.
After paperworks and technical reviews on Friday, Hill Climb Gorjanci 2014 will really begin on Saturday at 11:00 am, as the drivers will get to know racing conditions with three official training runs. Drivers must take at least one full training run to compete in the race on Sunday. According to the results achieved in the official practice sessions, stewards determine starting order for Sunday's race in the reverse order within the classes or groups of vehicles. This means that the slowest cars will go on track first, followed by faster ones. This makes competition more interesting for the viewers, because they usually don't know who will win the race, until the last car is on track. After the completion of each run, race director leads all the cars in column back in the service area where each team prepares for the next run.
Entry list and full details will be presented at a press conference on 13th June 2014 in the premises of AŠD SA – I in Ljubljana, Koprska ulica 98.
